Marcos Family and How they played a part in his travel?

Marco Polo began his first travels with his Father and two uncles. He left with them when he was just 17 from Venice and they travelled to  Marco left with them to travel to  china .

Marco Polo's travel  was not a short one. It took the Polos four years to walk across mountains  and deserts to reach China. Marco Polo did not return to Venice until he was 41 years old.. He kept a journal and wrote many stories of his travels.  

  Marco said he wouldnt have made it without the support of his brothers or dad. He said they helped him find trade, map route and give him hope. 

 

 

How Did the game Marco Polo begin?

   People say the game Marco Polo started because Marco did not know where he was going to go when he first started out. Other people say it is when he was traveling he was very tired and fell asleep.  His horse he was on wondered away from group and then he woke to them yelling his name and him answering.  So this game started Marco Polo.

   Marco Polo is a game where kids in a pool have one close his eyes and yell Marco. The other kids yell Polo and the kid playing Marco tries to find them,  So you can see how it is like Marco Polo in his life.

   Another version is that it came from how far he traveled and people would say where's Marco?

The Silk Road book....What was the book and why did he write it?

The Silk Road was a book written by Marco to share his journey through China.  Marco talks about the amazing travel across the country and the people the trade and the cities he explored.  His travel was the most traveled, the most amazing because he did it on foot, and the roadways he discovered.  The path he took is now known as the Silk Road. 
   Marco actually wrote it to share but to also help a Group of religious people.  His book is still famous today and many people are amazed at his travel.

Where was Marco Polo born and when was his first travel?

He was born in Venice Italy around 1254.  In 1271,  he  had turned 17  and this is when traveled with his dad  and three others to  Asia.   He spent 24 years there before coming home to Italy.  He did log his travel. Marco traveled from one end of China to the other.

Who is Marco Polo and what did he do?

Marco Polo is famous for his exploring in Asia.   He was one of the first to  exploring Europe and  to travel into Mongolia and China. Marco  went  on a huge journey to Asia, returning after 24 years to find Venice at war. He traveled all of  China and returned to tell  everyone which became the greatest travelogue.  He wrote a book called Silk Road because that was the name of path he took.  Marco was known for his travel and his exploring of mailnly China.  He kept a log and then made it into a book. He traveled Europe as well and many other areas of the countries.
